Biennial Dental Health Foundation Travel Bursary Award

The society will award €700 to the best abstract, that has been submitted for oral or poster presentation to IADH-2022 (Annual Congress of the International Association for Disability and Oral Health in Paris 2022). There is one prize available and is intended to assist with the cost of attending IADH-2022 to present the winning abstract by a dental or other professional on the island of Ireland. This award is funded by the Dental Health Foundation.

Criteria

  • Applicants for the prize must be a current member of the Society.
  • Entrants must have submitted their proposed abstract to IADH-2022 congress before applying for the bursary.
  • Bursary applicants will be judged and the prize ONLY awarded on presentation of proof to ISDH of acceptance of their abstract for presentation at the IADH Congress
  • Abstracts can be submitted for either poster or oral presentation formats, though oral presentations are preferred.

 

Submitting your entry

Applicants must submit a blinded electronic copy of their entry with a separate cover letter by e-mail to the Bursary co-ordinator (Dr Ruaa El Helali   elhelalr@tcd.ie) by 1st April 2022.

Receipt of your entry will be by email to the submitting author.

This is the flagship award of the ISDH. Submissions should be of scientific merit relating to the field of Special Care in Dentistry.

Judging

The panel of judges will consist of the ISDH Academic Advisor, President and an invited academic. The decision of the panel of judges is final and will be communicated by the confirmed date. The award winners will be announced at the ISDH Annual Conference.

 

Award

The award will be made at the ISDH conference. Award winners will be invited to give a short oral or poster presentation of their successful entries at the Summer Conference.

Please note the Society does not undertake to pay the expenses of the Author(s) to attend the ISDH conference.
