Every year, the International Association for Disability and Oral Health invites submissions from across the world for their poster presentations. Their rigorous judging criteria makes poster acceptance difficult to achieve. Yet eight of the posters accepted were by Irish dental healthcare professionals. More exciting still is that three of the fifteen finalists were Irish.

Here are the posters of the Irish Finalists:

Hani Ayup- Concepts of disability, facilitators and barriers to implementation of Special Care Dentistry in Brunei Darussalam: a qualitative study

Sydney Davenport- A qualitative and quantitative study of odours in the dental environment, and their relation to trust and fear

Laura Parkinson- The use of Tele-Dentistry for patients with inherited bleeding disorders during lockdown in the Covid-19 Era in Ireland

The other IADH posters presented by Irish graduates include: Ahmed Kahatab, Maeve Cush, Maura Haran, Hani Ayup and Sviatlana Anishchuk

Please share your support for our fellow collegues by visiting their poster and leaving a comment and tune in to the IADH general assembly on Saturday 03 October at 12pm GMT as they announce the winner of the presentations awards by registering here. You can slo watch the live finals on Friday 02 October by registering here. Remember that all our ISDH members are also affiliated IADH members at no extra cost.
