The Irish Society for Disability and Oral Health is proud to present the second of this season’s ISDH Winter Webinars series. This webinar is delivered by experts with a unique perspective on this topic. Meera Shah is a dentist with a background in special care dentistry, and offers a rare insight from a dentist living with incurable cancer. Meera is joined by her colleague Elizabeth Gonzales Malaga, STR in Special Care Dentistry at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, and a Clinical Fellow for East Midlands NHS Foundation Trust.
After the webinar, it is expected that participants will be able to:
understand the lived experience of cancer diagnosis from a dental perspective;
apply tips and tricks to make life easier for patients diagnosed with cancer; and,
understand the impact of osteoradionecrosis (ORN) and how it can be prevented.
